Is this actually feasible?
More in the Pre-Trip, PreparationsI finally tried my hand at video editing for the first time this weekend. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I will be posting a video blog describing my efforts thus far into the project in the next few days. I had planned to finish it up tonight and post it, but work, or what I have now deemed “paid work,” is quite busy right now.
My only concern in regards to posting a daily (or weekly?) video blog is the upload time. I initially anticipated that I would need someone to edit the video for me. However, after playing on Apple’s iMovie, all preconceived notions of unworthiness diminished. I realized that not only would editing the video take a lot shorter than I anticipated, but the uploading time of the video itself would be greatly reduced. By editing myself, I avoid having to send copious amounts of useless footage to an editor. Take that middleman!
I’m also contemplating whether or not I will use YouTube as the actual medium through which to show these vlogs. I will have a website that will display the video. However, I will need someone to host the video due to domain costs. Hmm.
Also, I’ve been racking my brain all day on methods to speed the word of mouth process. I’m not sure if this idea is strange enough to provoke users to chat about it. I think I really need to stress the fact that this is for real. What do people associate with legitimacy? Hmmm…. sponsors.
I need a sponsor.
